Man this sucks. Rest in peace Ken Block. Gave us so many memories with his videos and I had just seen a post from him so excited about his daughter finishing her project car. Absolutely gutting. I can’t believe it.

When my wife told me Ken Block passed away, I thought she was joking. Crazy enough, she wasn’t lying. Another famous Utahn has passed away (technically he’s not born in Utah, just currently living in Utah).

I’m absolutely gutted. We’ve lost a legend. I feel for his daughter more than anything. She was so excited to follow his steps. I cannot come to terms with it. It doesn’t feel real.

i just went through this last week with my uncle unexpectedly passing away. buried him last monday. he was 67.

i feel for the family.

I feel like people would take me more seriously if I quit my job and wrote a textbook about how to do my job than actually doing the job. Getting tired of explaining that the writers of books are imperfect humans whose methods don't always account for the exact circumstances one finds themselves in. But no, let's trust the book written 10 years ago by someone who has no idea what we are working on over the engineer whose entire job is to solve this specific problem.

I have this same thought every few months or so. 70% of my job is just figuring shit out. I've often debated if it would be worth it to make a how-to book series with standard operating procedures these days when youtube exists. The Idiot's Guide To...
