FR-S/FT-86 is the same. Its just branded Toyota instead of Scion to other countries. 216a is Subie's version.
![]() Hope that cleared it up.

I agree, de-badging doesn't work. I vote for the donkey or is it jackass.

eh. I'd still debadge simply for the cleaner look. not because I'm embarrassed by it being a scion.

I don't know why no one has said this by now but...wouldn't this be better if it had a poll? you know, to visualize things?

What makes the difference is if the badges use 2 holes in the body and screws to attach it, or if it is simply glued on. If the badges use 2 holes and screws then there's no way I'm going to trouble myself debadging/rebadging because I would have to bog over the holes and re-paint. However, if it is glued on then that's a different story and I would debadge and go for a cleaner look.

I'm not sure how the badge will change my experience of driving the car.. since it won't. Personally I don't care what badge is on the car, the driving feel/fun to drive side is all that matter IMO.

Why not just TRD badge? No more Scion/Toyota/Subaru worries!

Actually I was thinking a lot about debadging and the concept has a groove on the hood like so to fit the badges (This is the Road & Track vers.):
I would want to debadge it but seeing the bodywork has a small indent specifically made for the badge has made me think it would look awkward when debadged. If that's the case, I'll just swap for Toyota since the car is made by Toyota and is a Toyota outside of NA. I feel it should be a Toyota because this car is supposed to be a modern-day AE86 and the AE86 wasn't a Scion AE86, it was a Toyota AE86. |

I wouldn't debadge or swap the S for a T badge on it, even though I'm not a big Scion fan. But I would like a blacked out S for my black FR-S.
