I saw a comprehensive list a couple of days ago but can't recall where. My recollection is after they emerged most were flagged, examined, and fizzled.

On a more positive note, South Africa is reporting that its Omicron wave has peaked and is subsiding. Its death toll seems modest.

I went and got tested today and holy shit all the public testing places were packed today. Thankfully, what I have isn’t COVID but rather a winter cold?

I had that about 3 weeks ago. I was the last in the house to pick it up. Mine rolled into bronchitis. That was back when some places still had the at-home tests on the shelves.

Some were not used because they are common surnames.

Overlapping symptoms. Covid, cold, bronchitis are very similar.

I had a student in my space the day before I felt symptoms and told them I’m sick to make sure we weren’t same places same time. They demanded i get tested so they would not be inconvenienced in their day to day. I signed up with like 6 services today trying to get a rapid test only to be turned away. The one that was taking samples was charging $150. Said student didn’t understand why I didn’t want to pay that or how I couldn’t get an over the counter. Big irritated today.

Looks like testing is going to begin being shouldered by our insurances soon. COVID money is drying up.

Same. About a month or so ago I had a bad cough for maybe 3-4 weeks. It finally stopped being persistent about a week or week and a half ago. I never got tested so I can't say it was the *VID but it could've just been bronchitis. I used to get bronchitis fairly often this time of year about 10 years ago.

I've been a bronchitis magnet since I was a kid. In this case a friend who caught Delta back in June after being vaxed grabbed a test kit and left it on my front door. Both came back negative.

When I was a kid, the pediatrician told my mother that I had chronic bronchitis. My mother though maybe I had a wart on my vocal chords. Thinking back to the early 70's, my parents both hot boxed in the car with my brother, sister and I in the back especially in the winter when it was really cold.It really used to get colder, Maybe not as much as my childhood memories tell me, but it was colder.
