The 5 hospital system where I work is reporting this morning that 4 of the 5 hospitals are at less than 100% occupancy. This is the first time since pre-COVID.

The one that is over occupancy has a planned addition to address occupancy rates that have been over 100% for 5 years now, so that one doesn't really count. It is back to pre-Covid levels though.

Previously our two largest hospitals were approaching 200% (we had tents up in the parking garages) I think its more than that. Also, right now we only have 4 respirators in use throughout the system.

Ultimately, there's no way to know if it really means anything. One or two weeks is not a trend.

In Idaho, we have had a LOT of RSV cases in kids this fall and start of winter.

I am not even working at a children's hospital (here at least/anymore).

Is this unique to Idaho, or have you guys noticed a lot of RSV cases in your areas?

While the great number of shit bags forging vaccine cards isn’t zero, at least there’s some sort of documentation about who’s been vaccinated. I don’t doubt there’s a degree of antibody immunity. I’m always pro vaccine and mandate but skeptical of who is actually vaccinated.
