Anyone still driving there twin daily?

Even with new coils and a rather tame exhaust it can still be tiresome to drive the twins. I need a new daily but I really can't justify having 3 cars... What car would you replace the twins with that has 4 doors that's still fun to drive and is reliable on a track.

Neither is particularly reliable but e36m3 sedan and rx-8 are probably the closest matches. I love the e36m personally, especially the sound of the bmw straight 6. I’ve seen tons of them at the track so there must be ways to keep them reliable without breaking the bank. Luckily I’ve been able to make the FR-S 2+2 configuration work, but if I needed a lightweight trackable rwd sedan, I’d find the best condition e36m3 sedan I could find and do all the reliability upgrades on it.

sun or snow, still driving my car w smile on my face.

Anyways, if you want sedan car that's fun to drive, Giulia... if you can afford it. Next option CTR... but I wouldn't say nice to drive daily.

Hate to say it but I think I want to get a car with a DCT for next car. Something I can just drive but also enjoy on track

Bought mine as a daily
So its being used as a daily.

I have an CUV at home for hauling stuff and if i dont want to be bothered with strapping the kiddo into the backseat without the baby seat base. (plus the rear facer takes up alot of horizontal real estate so front passenger space is somewhat uncomfortable and too upright in the 86 when we do use it for family hauling duties)

Besides thats the wife's car. we share the cars but one belongs to her, the 86 belongs to me.

Mine was my daily, then I got another daily, so she became a garage queen for a while. Sold that daily when I got my R32, so the FR-S became my daily again.

Currently in process of reverting mine back to a configuration that I can daily drive. Looking forward to it.

got a prius & rav4 in our stable and while sure both are miles more comfy and quieter, i'm still happily taking out the twin every chance we get

crazy to think about but combined with my 2013 + 2016, I already have almost 10 years of dding a twin

i only take mine on roadtrips now. i don't like driving it unless i can for at least 2 hours minimum. usually will get lost for 4-6 hours.

but i enjoy driving it too much, so i avoid dedicating it to daily duties mostly to minimize 'life damage'

a good thing is only good when you've got something else to remind you of why it's good in the first place, and that's where daily-ing something else comes in
