Okay if you need you can send the videos to my insta YSoAggressive, very interested in this if it doesn’t really have much drone because I’ve been looking at different single exits that can replace my current Invidia N2 + Tomei UEL setup otherwise if there is none I’ll just get the CSG Touring 86

CSG Touring sounds like an excellent choice provided you have the budget. The HKS Ive seen as low as $525. That was a little while ago. Just Google "FRS BRZ HKS HI-POWER V2".

So what I have done is modified my stock FP and added a much larger resonator. Also look at this thread. These hangers really help with drone.

Resonator I used and had a shop weld into my FP: Vibrant 1140 2.25" Ultra Quiet Resonator

Thread for JP Spec STI hangers: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143514

I would try these 2 things before you swap FPs and exhaust

I know the CSG Touring 86 is the answer to pretty much no drone setup but I was wondering if the HKS HI Power Single V2 had low drone as well or at least less than what an Invidia N2 + UEL headers would give you because I do like the single exit look. I’d much rather have it but if this isn’t an ideal option and the drone is pretty much the same if not even worse than what I already have for my setup I’ll definitely just go with the CSG Touring 86. That’s what I’m trying to get at and trying to figure out here.

I have ordered those hangers from Nengen so just waiting for them to come in but right now just trying to figure out if there is more or less drone with the Hi Power Single V2 setup than my current setup because if it has less I would like to switch to it over the CSG Touring 86. I don’t necessarily want the quietest setup just one where the drone isn’t so bad that I can’t talk to my passenger during cruising speeds like my Invidia N2 + Tomei UEL headers combo.

I am so confused... What's your current setup From Headers all the way back.

My current setup is the Invidia N2 Catback with Tomei UEL headers, stock fp, stock op

compared to the N1/2 the HKS might have a bit less but most single exits are very loud and drone. Drone does not = loud. As i listed in your other thread, Lots of options with dual exit exhausts if your looking to cut out drone. Honestly what I would do is get the resonator I suggested and get it welded in. See if it cuts down on the drone. From there I would pick your catback.

I also have the HKS HI-Power...I ordered a silencer for 55$. Its suppose to take the noise level down to the same level as V2. I'd try that route first

Yeah I know there are other options but if we are talking least amount of drone for a single exit exhaust what would be the best single exit for that? Would it be the HKS Hi Power Single V2, Tanabe, CLEiB? That’s what I’m wondering because I love that single exit look now if you personally think that a single exit no matter which one will most likely have more drone than my setup I’ll just consider grabbing one of those dual exits.

I am running this. Only available in an axle back. No drone in my setup and surprisingly quiet for what it is. Drone has more to do with the system as a whole, not just the axle back/cat back. I am running a 3" catted front pipe with a Helmholtz resonator and catless header.

If you want quiet single-exit, the Blitz Nur-Spec R is worth considering and I'm willing to bet is THE quietest single-exit, so should be a great candidate to pair with a catless header. Part # MT3290. I used to have the CLEiB, it was pretty loud even with stock header.

I used to own the Blitz too, but had stock header, so can't give you an impression with a catless header. But here's an impression from another member:

At full throttle it’s got a great bark and a refined sound, but I suspect without the header it would be extremely quiet. I don’t have any clips of the car running through gears and it’s been put away for the winter, but maybe I can shoot something for you in the spring.

Was this with or without the silencer because from the website it says it’s got a detachable silencer which would mean I’d have to put one in I assume?

There was no detachable silencer for the FR-S/86/BRZ application, so it's tame on its own.
