This is where I ultimately ended up. Given the other things I try to do like recycling at home, dropping 10hp for a little peace of mind was an easy decision. I went with a JDL Ultraquiet front pipe with one resonator and the Gesi 200 cell cat they offer.

I decided not to contribute to global warming through greater ammonia emissions by running no cats.

I also like to help the environment by using plastic bags instead of reusable cotton bags or paper bags.

Do you guys think its worth replacing my stock front pipe for a Catless pipe?
yes, go for it. im using the stock header and front pipe but punched their cats. its not much louder, and doesnt smell bad. i think the people telling you not to go full catless are not full catless themselves, and are not really in a good place to give advice on the topic. im supercharged as well. worst case scenario, buy another stock front pipe for 50$ to put back in if you dont like it. or, if youre buying this dual res one, you will still have your stock one to swap in, and sell the dual res if you decide you dont like it. but if you go full catless, but try to keep the noise down, ie: stock punched fp,or dual res fp.

That's not a good way to make friends!
I'm sure people have experimented and found their comfort zone just as I have. I've done catless on plenty of other cars, this one included; I'm turbo and am catless because my kit wouldn't accommodate the stock frontpipe.

Every passenger I had in the car commented on the catless smell. It is pretty stank in traffic with windows down. If you have the option, why inconvenience yourself? Or maybe I'm just getting old

For the 200 cel cat crowd, who has actually had one emmisions tested?

My 200cel metalcat failed dismally and needed to be replaced by some VAG OEM thing IOT pass an emmisions test.
