Comparing other cars from other countries after tax to our FR-S after tax is like comparing a nipple to a baby bottle. No comparison. Genesis Coupe R Spec is going to be subject to the same 13% tax and charges...
Well said man. Our taxes here in vancouver is 13%. And yes to the guy up there, i did my research and test drove it aswell. Even talked to the salesman and including taxes, its sittin at abt 31g. And i went to this forum to ask the people who drive the car daily to know more abt it. I got to drive the car fr abt 30 mins and thats it. U guys drive it everyday. So i think its just right for someone who doesnt hav the car to ask people who has the car

We can praise this car all day and all night, but it really does come back to you. Did YOU enjoy driving it for the 30 minutes? What did you like about it? What didn't you like about it? The next big question that you haven't answered yet is, what kind of car are you looking for? Power? Style? Handling?

I'm from Ontario, and paid what you stated. Hell yeah, the car is worth it! Is it perfect? No. Does it have a lot of power? No, but it really doesn't need it. This car doesn't need a lot of power to be fun...it's like driving a big go-kart, and it never fails to put a grin on my face. I have a supercharged Mustang as well, and to be brutally honest, I don't think I've put 10 miles on it since I brought this one home.

I'm not sure what year your Si is, but I got to drive a '12 Si back to back with an FR-S on track, and the FR-S was more fun, hands down (and I really like Hondas).

It rained tonight at 6 pm in Ottawa. I washed it at 6:30 Drove to the gas station for $10 worth of gas to fill it up at 7:10pm . I have 5400 km on the car and have loved every one of them. Can't wait until tomorrow. Pathetic for a 40 something isn't it.

did you not see the part that says "edit:" i immediately checked your location after i made that post, and changed it. There are lots of threads on the forum with people reviewing their cars after owning it for a while. pretty much everyone on this forum will tell you its a great car, theyre probably a member because theyre an enthusiast. however, the final decision is still yours.

My Si is an 06 with modded suspensions. It drives pretty good and i compared it to the frs. And the frs drives better STOCK! I like the handling. I know it doesnt hav much power but neither does the Si and yet i still love it. I like fast cars but buying a fast car out of a dealership lot kinda contradicts with the fact that im a car enthusiast and i wanna build a car from stock.
And also im asking the forum cuz im 90% into buying frs. And im just looking for the goods and bads that i was not able to see in the 30 min window of fun Scion has given me.

My car has gotten so much attention and I've only had it for 3 nights and 2 days.

Definitely well worth it. Though, I'd get a BRZ and not an FRS for 31k. I dont know why the FRS is that high.

Go with the BRZ, get the luxurious feel for the same or less price.

I love my car and have no regrets. As others have said though, it's your decision. If you decide to go for it, welcome to the club.

Does the FRS live up to the hype?
Is it worth the $31,000 (after taxes)?
Does it have any issues (engine/chassis/interior)
Hows the power on it?

Ill add more to the questions once i think of more

For 31K CAD, yes it is worth it. I benchmark it against my old S2000 and I can tell you $31k CAD for this car is worth it. It has enough power for fun, seems OK quality, no major issues for me so far. It's a budget sporty car with cheap material that can beat Hondahs and Corrollas.

What car are you making a comparison against? $31k CAD mean different things to different people. If you're in Alberta and make $100k/yr, then 31k is a steal.

And don't mind our Yankee friends, they don't realize we Canuck ballers likes to pay more for our cars, gasoline and fast foods.

pretty sure stock FRS handles way better than any Si and ill say no matter how much you throw away on Honda mods.... definitely FRS is more fun hands down too
