Straight from wiki because I'm lazy.
Impulse- "a wish or urge, particularly a sudden one."

Though... I think I picked it was simply because I couldn't think of anything and I just took a name from a Gundam and I thought it sounded cool at the time. Eheh. @_@;

Laika means Barker, aka the loud one, I don't think anyone I know would have a hard time agreeing that I deserve the name.

Laika was also the dog the soviets launched up into space on November 3rd 1957. She was the first animal in space and pioneered the way for human space travel. Kinda sad that the dog was pretty much fated to die in the name of science.

Similarly, I had some pretty bad health problems when I was younger and I had a similar fate. Now that I'm still alive I'm working on my way to doing something big in the name of science.

Also I was born on November 3rd. Probably just a coincidence since I'm not a girl

ummmm, I'm dominican. It's also my tag on every other forum I frequent (which is a lot) My gamertag is dominicanbbq.

I choose Dominican as my online name because if you see me in real life, I look like a white guy. After some people learn of my name, they think I'm greek? italian maybe? No one ever guess that I'm Dominican, ever. Hence why I use Dominican as my tag.

Pretty much the same in terms of weather. We're one of the bigger islands but we share one side with Haiti, which is ok I guess. As with most other islands, tourism is the main source of income, followed by Nickel other precious metal deposits. If you'd live there, having a sports car is almost impossible due to the conditions of most of the roads and the way people drive. SUVs rule the road over there. Also, gas is like 5 dollars a gallon

I'll give you a short story behind mine. I met a girl from my rival high school during an Academic Bowl competition. We had some mutual attraction initially

. Few days later she hit a car in her blind spot while merging and sustained cuts/bruises/a cast. As she recovered I tried to console her thru AIM (it was the new rage back then) and made up a screen name "switchlanez" as a play on her incident and my last name: Lanez. Long story short she lost interest and dated some nerd on her team. I learned to be less a "nice guy" and more a "jerk" and got with a less studious, bad girl type shortly after. And my username stuck with me for years. The end. :happy0180:
