It also reminds me of the talus slope at one of my favourite places on earth, the Saskatchewan Glacier. And I did almost twist my ankle while crossing it to get to the glacier itself, so it kind of fits.

because I turned asking questions into an art form, or a way to attack my teachers and be thanked for it.
