The poster was wondering when to shift a new car. The little arrow is just an indicator. It is interesting as it seems to read throttle position as well as speed. I tried it for an hour and turned it off. I turned it back on when teaching my granddaughter how to drive stick for the first time. Turned it back off after her first session.

I have SE edition of 1997 Accord with 275K miles and it runs like champ, currently, driving this car and BRZ is in the garage. I was debating of selling BRZ and keeping Accord - there is a bit of vibration in Drive gear at the stop sign changed engine mounts, did the tune up, replaced fuel injectors and other stuff still vibration is there.
