I fit 3 grown ass men in the car. I wouldn't say they enjoyed it but they got to the destination.
Also, fat people don't fit well in this car. Square peg in circle hole. When I went over speed bumps I had to call them out so they could duck in time and not smash their head on the rear window. Previously fit a large microwave in the front seat and a 200 lb 6 foot guy behind the driver seat. Tight fit. He could barely get out because his back and shoulders are so wide. |

This is pretty much all the info I need. Seems like it is the same situation as my current ride.

When you put people with legs in the back seat, be prepared for everyone to be uncomfortable. LoL My rear seat is only about 2" from the back of my front seat in their normal position. I remember riding in the back of my uncles old AMX when I was a kid. They did not even bother putting a back seat in it. I thought it was cool to sit back there on the floor. =]

backseat? and here I thought it was an extended trunk space... I haven't tried fitting anyone besides a 4'8" Asian girl back there...
Everyone knows my Civic only has front seats, so they just assume not to ask to get a ride in the BRZ. BUT looking back there, like everyone said, in a pinch it'll be okay for a short ride. Your kids should be okay if they aren't in booster seats.... For anyone else, keep a small stack of bus schedules in the cup holder in the door... |

The backseat isn't as bad as everyone claims.
I went out the other night two friends sitting at the back. I'm 5'8-5'9 . The guy in the passenger seat is 5'10 and the guy sitting directly behind him was 5'9. The guy sitting behind me was 5'8 as well and we were fine. I mean, I'm sure it's going to get uncomfortable in the longer journeys. But for a quick 20-30 min ride. it's alright

Really?
I'm 5' 5" and my head is two fingers from the glass. That's 1 inch Felt uncomfortable. Any pot holes or dips... your head is going to hit. Definately not in a relaxed position. I wouldn't want to sit back there for twenty minutes. |

it also depends on how the occupants are build. I have a extremely long torso with shorter legs, so I can afford to move the seats forward for my back passenger. The downside is that my head scratches the ceiling...

Kids in car seats still and just wouldn't work in an FR-S especially in winter. |

oh, I've seen those photos... but it doesn't look too comfortable for driver or kid... but it all depends on the kids and where the driver has the seat...
My niece has a fit whenever we get her into a forward facing baby seat if the car is small....like my sister's IS350C... she seems to like space. But in a SUV (GX460), she gladly goes in and doesn't make a peep. I put her in the backseat of my BRZ. We weren't driving, so there was no baby seat. She looked fascinated by the material of seat, but if her baby seat was in there, she's be close to the roof and was definitely cry... |

Im 5'7', sat in the back of my friends FRS to see what it was like.
Not behind the driver, he's like 6'2" and theres no leg room. I managed to squeeze in and its in fact not as bad as it seems. I had the front seat as far back as i could allow it and had ENOUGH leg room to not be uncomfortable. Major gripe? Footroom is very tight. The seat couldnt move back anymore because its pushing against my the top of my feet. So i have no wiggle room and couldnt really shift my legs around because of space restrictions. Person in front would proably have to be at most the same height as me as im sure anyone taller would be folded up like an accordian. |
