I just softened my coilovers by 3 clicks all around and the thing understeers like a pig on the on ramps. Will try to get better winter tires next year

Do you swap out the summer air that accumulated in them while they sat, or did you put fresh winter air in them?

Do you have a link to a thread for this? I've always been lead to believe that you should run as much tire as you can (read a lot of Vorshlag's build threads). I'm certainly open to learning new/better things though.

I'd also guess that it's heavily track dependent if you're balancing straight line vs cornering. I don't get a lot of long straights at the nearby tracks I run.

Try stabbing the brakes before engaging the corner to transfer weight onto the front tires if the corner isn't too long!

Oh I've done that, but that would be quite scary on an on-ramp lol. This was almost the end of the on-ramp and I suddenly felt the nose push wide. It was a strange experience as I've never felt the car do that before. If anything, it always is super keen to turn in, granted that's when it's on sticky wide summer tires and with the coilovers firmed up. But with the softer setting and crappy snow/ice tires, that's hard. I need better coilovers and better tires.

There's no specific thread holding the data. Everyone's finding's are different because it's dependent on many factors.

@StraightOuttaCanadaEh btw, have you checked state of bushings? I had noticeable handling change mid turn when leaning more on side, when my front LCA whiteline front bushing's metal core separated from poly surround.

I haven’t recently, no. I don’t think there’s a problem, I’m gonna go with Occam’s razor here and just assume it’s cold weather + slick pavement + shitty driver + even shittier tires + crap coilovers with horrible valving.
