My son's first car will be a POS for sure.

If I have a daughter instead of a son... I get the feeling I'll be swayed into buying her something decent.

People of my generation I've notice are ungrateful entitled brats. If I had a BMW as a DD and my parents bought me a car (they never would) I'd ask them to return it or I'd pay them back fully. My father taught me if you want something you go earn it.

This guy should have had a discussion with his father and let him know that he wanted an S2000 instead of a BRZ. Oh well though it looks like it'll be sitting his in garage for a while because I don't know anyone stupid enough to pay 33k for a BRZ with 400 miles on it. Am I right?

I'd be grateful if I was given a car as a graduation present, no matter what it was as long as it got me from A to B.

Kids these days...

Id say he's a moron for raising such an ingrateful kid. He most likely has always giving his son son whatever he wainted, tainting his his views and value of a dollar so now when he gets him a big gift the kid just chalks it up as one of many that has been handed to him. Dad's fault, dad's a moron.

This is all of course based on the idea of this being true in the first place and some sort of BS scam.

I don't think the kid is a moron for wanting an ap1 s2000. Everyone has different taste in cars. The dad should've asked him what he wanted before he went and made a $34,000 mistake. I'm pretty sure the dad wanted the BRZ for himself anyways and was hoping the kid would like it. Then the kid threw a hissy fit and is making him sell it to get the s2000.

Imagine the love a father must have for his son to want to get him a hot car. He spends his time doing research and sees the glowing reviews on the BRZ/FRS in every magazine and website he checks out.

What a POS that kid is even if it turns out that post is not true.

Sounds like an excuse to the wife.

Husband: "Honey, I want a BRZ"
Wife: "NO"
Husband: "But it's a college gift to our son"
Wife: "Okay"
Husband: Inside ("Yes, gonna get myself a BRZ" )

This reminds me of a time when I use to work for a Honda Dealership. This kid came in with a brand new Ap2 s2000 in silver with red seats. Car was literally a couple of days old, and he traded it for a black on black Ap2 of the previous year that had been sitting in our show room for at least a year. We asked why he was trading it, and he said he wanted black and his dad bought him the silver one. Needless to say he took a serious hit on the trade in, but he didn't care since his dad was probably going to pay for the new one too. Side note the guy was a total d-bag about the whole thing and was hawking me the entire time i was prepping his car, and by prepping i mean taking out the window sticker. In all the years I worked there that kid was the most annoying person I ever met.

I didn't say the kid was a moron. The dad was moron for raising such a child.
