I waited 3 weeks after I pre-ordered in early may. I got it in the first week of june. lolol. Second car to leave the dealership too. I guess I was mad lucky because the sales representative told me they're pushed all the back to august/september when I picked it up 2 months ago. Who knows what the eta is now.

No, you didn't screw me over! Like camelflage said, they were able to make the switch and since they get the biggest allocation in the area, I am trying to believe them. Like I said before, I won't believe it until I see it on the lot, but I am getting excited as I'm getting closer to the arrival date.

Hopefully, we'll get to see you tonight! It will be awesome to see an FR-S up close and in person again.

Had a dealer tell me the FR-S release is just to get folks to come in to the Scion dealer. He said most dealers will only get a few this year and that the Tc is the "same" car and I should just buy one of those instead. I called him on that and he backtracked but admitted this strategy works with most buyers.

I'm afraid we won't have true MSRP access to the FR-S until MY2014. Even then compared on how it ranks among the EPA ratio's it may still be impossible to buy one off the lot. The manual transmission will always be impossible to find due to the silly EPA milage ranking.

The FR-S reminds me a lot of the viper when it first came out, got people into the dealership but no one could findone, as the popularity and word got out the car became more and more expensive.

Certainly not the RWD successor to the Corolla we had hoped for. In other words its an exclusive car, not an accessible car.

Those of you who got in before July are lucky, my guess is you could sell at a $5k profit for the 12 months at least.

Hi! I'm new here and will be a new sports car owner, but I'm a gearhead at heart and simply haven't had a decent opportunity to own a sports car. Now is a good time so about 2 months ago, I went to test drive the FR-S. It was an awesome experience. The salesman redlined and drifted the car on the first half of the test drive which made for a pretty damn good sales pitch (although I already knew I wasn't buying THAT model). So we get back to the desk and he tells me that they only have that one model available which isn't broken in properly, with options I don't want, the color I least like, and a $3000 mark-up. So I walked out and started to call dealers around.

I found a dealer that had this awesome (and hot) saleswoman and she went truly out of her way to make sure she got me my FR-S. The only options installed are Bespoke Audio and paint protection (discounted to $199). I also managed to negotiate my trade in at KBB value, and they decided to lower the price of the car by $500 because I told them I didn't want the Toyoguard. My FR-S was $26005 + tax.

As of this Friday, I'm driving an Asphalt FR-S 6MT

I don't know for sure. They just said NY when I talked to the dealership, but then it'll be brought down to VA.
