Lol not even close, it's because most supra's have more the 130,000 miles on them, there for it makes the lower milage ones more valuble. Nice try though

I guess mpg will be a main concern for us road happy drivers? The differnece between 25 And 30 pg would be huge for most of us...

I really don't think people need to worry about fuel efficiency, this is Toyota afterall. I think they can definitely do as well as economy cars with similar displacement engines, if not better, since this car is light and low, and based on the stuff about D4-S, they'll be putting a lot of effort into the engine. With direct injection, the most advanced valvetrain tech, who knows they may be able to beat out some economy cars...that would certainly be nice I think if sports cars are going to survive, they'll need to show that performance doesn't really come at a huge cost to the environment, which they have the chance to do so.

At the very least I don't think it can be any worse than a Celica, which gets pretty fantastic fuel economy and has a much older engine.

I don't think so, if you are looking at getting "Sports" car, why would you be worried about the GPM being the difinitive whether you get it or not? You don't buy a sports cars to be Eco friendly, you buy them to enjoy the ride. Thats why I think the crz was/is a fail. I understand what companies and others are trying to do with these ideas, and I also know that we are getting better with how cars make power direct cylinder injection/laser ignition. But what ever you wanna do, to me if you don't have the money to support a sports car, and your worried about gas, then don't get one.

There's a difference between affording it and just wasting money, IMHO.

Of course, but if you can't afford to cruise in your sports car cause your worried about Gas milage, then to me you shouldnt own one, what's the point? So it can sit In your garage, I believe that cars are made to be driven, and I for one do not own a garage/Dyno queen that you drive once in a blue moon, but again if your worried about gas, don't get it

You're still not getting me. If you don't care then it doesn't matter either way so long as it performs to your expectations. That's silly to have a car and not drive it regardless of how much fuel it consumes.

The biggest reasons to go with a 4 banger besides cost and weight is because they're more fuel efficient due to their smaller displacement/lighter rotating mass. If MPG doesn't matter at all then get a Rotary or a 6 cylinder why even bother with a small 4 banger then? It's not like they sound good and/or make "decent" power without a lot of money right ?

And your missing my point, I agree with what your saying, what I'm saying is I don't know why people use fuel efficiency as the determining factor, as some people do if it's a sports car

Okay but why doesn't it matter? Sports cars are supposed to be models of efficiency and aerodynamics. If you just wanted a fast car, Muscle cars are pretty cheap. And there are gas guzzler exotics if you have the coin.

I'm not saying it shouldn't matter, I'm saying it shouldn't define whether you are gonna get it or not..... It should not be the definitive thing that makes you say, no gas on that thing is out of my range if you are buying a sports car(IMO) if you are worried about gas a couple miles less gas a tank then an Eco car, then why the hell are you shopping for a sports car, just get an Eco car. Granted I know that sports cars and Eco cars are trying to mix together now adays so that you can have a sporty looking eco friendly car, but once again all I'm saying is that if your shopping for a "SPORTS" car I wouldn't think that gas milage would be the thing that makes you say oh wow I didn't want this, if that were the case, then just buy a crz or hybrid.... Ok I'm done

See that's the distinction. I'm more Eco(onomic) minded than most people but I already know the FR-S will be efficient enough for me as I'm willing to sacrifice MPG for a fun car. Anybody who thinks otherwise wouldn't even be looking at this car .

The CR-Z is nice for what it is, a sporty FWD hybrid but the difference is an ocean apart.

You know that the FR-S/Subaru will be N/A and have 230PS(225BHP) max right?
