I know the E85 is an additional $350 I was talking about instead of the stage1 flash? The dyno numbers look ok to me anyways I was just curious.

The transmission only affects the percentage of hp lost to the wheels, not the amount of power one can actually get out of the motor.

To blame an auto transmission for not being able to make more power is basically stating that as you increase flywheel HP, the transmission consumes more and more power, negating the increase. While this is true to some degree (drivetrain loss is a percentage), it would never negate total gains.

200bhp - 25% = 150whp
400bhp - 25% = 300whp

and so on, and so forth.

Where as with suggesting and auto is blocking ANY gain in power is like this

200bhp - 25% = 150whp
400bhp - 62.5% = 150whp

The drivetrain loss is fairly linear, not accelerated.

Cliff notes: It's not the transmission type.

I assumed a more aggressive lockup of the TCC and a similar increase in output like the manual trans as well. Time to go detective on this thing and find out whats going on.

I bet it has something to do with the fact that the car HAS an auto and not just because the transmission IS an auto.

Keep in mind that owners with autos also cannot launch their cars for some reason and Im thinking that the launch is not the only thing being held back on the auto for some reason.

John, does the tune affect shift schedules on the AT? Or is that a whole different system?

That sounds contradictory. LOL. Whatever the transmission IS is what the car HAS.

Anyway back on the topic. John, what were the oil temps when you made the "after tune" runs? Perrin has shown that the car will lose power once the oil temp gets to high. That could be counteracting the gains.
