Edit - the last few times I submitted a ticket, response time was within a day. These all happened with Rich added to the Visconti team, so I'm sure that helped. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by Foobar; 05-21-2013 at 10:19 AM. |

@Visconti
I am curious as to why traction control was removed and auto blip was brought back. Care togive us some insight? Also, will the E85 map get similar updates soon? |

![]() So, the car still starts and runs, but no power steering, none of the gauges work, power windows are iffy, and a bunch of other stuff is f.u.b.a.r. On the bright side, it's being warrantied. It will be nice to have the latest ECUTek stuff too because I was still on 1.02 or whatever John flashed on my car last August. Thankfully, the new ECU should be here tomorrow. Ruskymx |

Covered under warranty? So I guess the reflash wasn't detected?

The tech couldn't figure out why it wasn't working right and they called me back to tell me they had to order an ECU. They know I have a tune on it and it's still being covered under warranty. I'm going to talk to the tech more tomorrow more to find out what he was able to "see" on the ECU. I was busy today and didn't have much time to talk to him. List on an ECU is $675 from what I remember my parts department telling me. It also doesn't hurt that I am an employee too.
I just had my 7500 miles service done not too long ago and made sure they knew to just do oil change etc. I had too much going on and didn't realize that my paperwork changed hands so the other adviser had no idea. In a normal situation, it wouldn't have mattered. Let this be a lesson to everyone to either make sure and flash back to stock or make sure that they know not to do anything with the ECU. Ruskymx |

My understanding is that once you have ECUTek on your car, the dealer is locked out from writing to it (even if you go back to the stock flash, which technically acts like stock but still has a lock I think). The only way they can perform the recall is to replace your ECU. At that point, you'll need to get in touch with your tuner who sold you the ECUTek license, show proof that the dealer gave you a new ECU, and get a new license generated for the new ECU.
