I finally ripped the Airaid intake out and put the stock one back in along with the v1.09 pump gas map. The car feels so much stronger in the midrange. I haven't played with any of the other features yet.

Another Airaid gets "ripped" out, another one bites the dust

Well, I carefully unbolted it. I didn't want to damage my car

Thinking of buying this.

Seems as though there are some concerns over support, time frames, etc.

I'm in Aus, so I can't exactly head down to johns place and have a chat.

But I just wanted to sort out the bs from the truth, are we talking waiting for over a month, or just a few weeks? Is everyone here being extra sensitive, or is there really a log jam? If I order something, will I be waiting for a month or more for an email?

I had to wait a week for my last tune after putting in a request ticket.

I don't mind the wait and you can always send datalogs to John to get a tweaked tune. May not get that with other vendors.

The v1.09 tune is downright magical.

I got my cable on a Friday and got my tune on a Sunday. It was 1.08 though, just before 1.09 was released. I decided to wait a little to get 1.09, just to not add to the pile of people asking at one time. And he responded to my help tickets pretty much right away when I had questions about the whole process.

Thanks. That all sounds pretty cool with me. By the sound of things I thought customers were waiting like months or something.

Any recommendations of when to get the tune done. My car is brand spanking new, so I'm not sure if it's better to tune now, or 2500/5000km? Was thinking of ironing the bugs out first, but if there are better gains to be had by running it in with a tune, I'm happy to oblige

John,

Will a comment in a closed ticket reopen the ticket and notify you? Or should I open a new ticket?

You and Civic driver both removed your Airaid intakes, did you put back in the stock snorkel? I don't want to take my bumper off to put it back on if I switch back to stock...
