From asking people at track days their replies was look into MCA, with that I've got their Street performance coils and also their traction mod coming to me in the post.

Worth a look, they are in Australia but you can give them a call or message them.

Lots of experience and development have gone into them.

Alot of the quick cars over here are running them in one form or another, lots of options to choose from, they can pick your spring rates or you can chose whatever you feel best suits your needs.

Took the coilover off the car to try and work with it isolated. Collars are not budging, and the small spanner wrench has bent. Fucking over this. Putting stock struts back on TODAY.

They're much better dampers to begin with.

Try spraying with a penetrating oil and then using a flathead and a hammer.

I am just amazed that you have never had this car set up or aligned and everyone is still blaming parts, changing to stock struts is not going to fix this either without going and getting an alignment.

They're BCs. There's no fixing the car with them still on it.

you right my car drives like complete shit and is a hazard to the public, just keep ignoring the fact that OP changed suspension components and lowered his car without aligning it. Its totally the parts fault not OP being too cheap or lazy to get an alignment.

The alignment won't do much for comfort but yeah this guy is right. I too have BC's and I don't have the bouncing issues you're talking about. Did you preload all 4 corners before install? What is your stiffness set to?

Edit: read the rest of the post. If you wanna go back to stock that's fine, but it does seem like the issue was preload. BC's website does specify that the coilovers do not come preloaded out of the box. Sorry you're having so much trouble bud.

+1 on the Tein Flex A. I don't have CSG spec but I have zero complaints about the Flex A.

I've run BC on my MX5, OK on the track, OK on the street, it's all to do with damping adjustments for intended use, if recall I had them near on full soft for the street, and somewhere in the middle for the track.

That was a few years ago now a quite a bit of Whiskey has gone under the bridge.

TL;DR Play with your dampening settings, start at full soft and adjust from there to dial in your required settings.

From memory I was 2 or 3 clicks softer on the rear IRT the front.

Don't forget to write your settings down and how the car handled at them, it will save alot of time and headache.

Part of the issue with them IS the damping adjustments.
There really isn't any discernible difference in any settings between the two extremes, but if they offered a damper with onlu two clicks, they wouldn't be able to call it, "32 way adjustable!!!!"

Once he's got some quality components on the car, we'll be able to guide him the rest of the way. Thanks bud.

I agree, the only noticable difference I found was near on full soft and somewhere in the middle, any harder and they handled like rubbish, both on or off the track.

They do only cost 1k though, compromises are expected when you buy cheap stuff.

I've learnt alot from them though, IRT paying more for something that actually works well is definitely worth the outlay, both in performance and comfort.
