Thanks for the heads up, Ultra. This is the first I've heard of these issues except #3 and heard that it was fixed.
If I was in the market, I would install one without hesitation and would just keep an eye on those areas.

Yes the new intake manifold looks nice. How does it cope with the dirt?

I agree Vortech looks very OEM. I also like how JRSC looks. Not as much plastic covers and black coating but the simplicity is genius. Adding the supercharger opened space in the engine bay! I have replaced the crank pulley without removing the compressor and air filter, for example.

It loves dirt but since it's red, it doesn't show it unless it's really dirty.

WOW! I'd almost forgot about that OHV horizontally-opposed, six-cylinder engine.

This was changed on the particular engine to something like 10.00001mm. Additionally, the minimum spacing between parts was changed to just 2mm. So, it wasn't that easy to achieve the following:

The accuracy comment is false, but I’ll attribute it to a poor translation from Japanese. 0.001mm is 1 micron, and 1 micron is what vapor discharge coatings are measured in. 0.1 micron are the units that roughness of a cylinder bore might be measured in.

The number with all the zeroes is probably a joke about the designers’ passion and attention to detail.

2. The bellows/boot that joins the airbox to the compressor is unbelievably lame. The business side of the hose clamp included with the kit interferes with the folded pattern of the boot. Actually scrubs against it.

3. The pipe just upstream of the throttle body rubs against the alternator bracket.

On the other hand, I agree that they nailed it both aesthetically, and I hope with their wet sump planetary gearbox. I don't know how well they hold up long term but I want the design to be as stout as it looks. Gorgeous.

Fixed!

Agreed. IF I end up going SC it'll be a toss up between the Vortech and Jackson.
