Are you leasing or financing? My bank offered the best rate when I went through the bank. They sometimes partner with insurance companies.

You're young (still) , and live in a Big city ( more people, more problems), so any level of insurance will be more then if you lived in a smaller city / area ( lower population density). It isn't until you become about 35 years old, that your insurance rate starts to decline some. If you have a multi policy with one insurance company, you can get discounts that way as well ( second car and/or house insurance).

**in other words, it is a multi-variable math calculation. The insurance companies have their variables they look at, weigh each one accordingly, crunch the numbers given the input ( age /gender of driver, car in question, city / address you live, number of years driving, any tickets? , number of years with same insurance company, number of miles driven annually , etc.

Heck, I'm 44 and have a multi-policy with AAA insurance, and I pay about $530 per year on the FR-S (full coverage, lower deductibles , overall solid coverage). If I was 30 yrs old, it would most likely be $150-200 more per year …. and the beat goes on…. and the beat goes on.

I'd attribute that extra $13 per month, to the fact your tS has that carbon wing.

It cost more therefore it cost more to insure.

Hard to say.

Make sure to call around.

I was with AllState and paid $130/mo for 100/300 auto and 300 apartment insurance. Ended up looking into Progressive and now I pay $70/mo. for the same coverage.

Granted I'm 30 and I have a 2013 that isn't worth shit anymore.

The wing demonstrates intent.
