Don't really need a DIY... you just hook each lead to the two wires that run to the turn signals right behind the signal assembly. So one wire goes to the positive turn signal wire, and the other goes to the ground. Ummm... maybe someone can remind us of the colors? I forget.

Oops, HunterGreene, I didn't see that you wrote that. I haven't had a chance to locate the flasher unit.

I got this one off of amazon, works perfectly in my tC:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008C9YS0Y/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00"]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008C9YS0Y/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00[/ame] Just check your manual, I would assume it would be in the DIY section. |

I'll be interested to see if this works in the FR-S... I already went with the resistors, but someone else please try this out!

As you know, the fuses protect the system, but they do not control the turn signals, nor the rate at which they flash at. The clicking noise you get is from the relay, which is usually inside the car somewhere (as I don't have my FR-S yet, I couldn't tell you where it is inside the cabin). That relay is what controls your rate of turn signal flash. The relay, at least on toyota cars, is a little box-like 8-pin unit that plugs into the system. On my car, this is located on a panel that is under the wheel to the left (towards the ouside of the car). It looks like this: ![]() Of course, each car's setup is different, but you should be able to find it if you do a little digging. Hope that clears it up a bit. |

It's under the steering column, dead center on the bottom almost.
