Anyone local with a tech stream that could help? Steering angle sensor issue - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hi guys, I’ve got my abs and slip lights on after a new steering wheel install. I can’t tell if what I need is a calibration via tech stream or a new steering angle sensor completely. I was about to order the part but it is pretty expensive, and I read sometimes it’s a recalibration that might actually be the fix.

Does anyone have a techstream local that would be willing to help me do a recalibration on it? Hoping to give this a shot before ordering more parts. Thanks!

I had the same problem a while back. Have you readjusted your clockspring to the center? I did mine with the techstream program I ordered on ebay. It worked for my 13 FR-S. But I'm not sure if it'll work on newer models. We can give it a shot if you're willing to come by. I'm located in Bellflower.

Haloterence thanks! I’ve ordered a steering angle sensor I’m going to try to go ahead and replace. But if that fails I think I will take you up on that offer and come out to bellflower. I’ll keep you posted, thanks again!
