if you are talking about the section past the grapevine you are pretty damm ballsy... not so much the speed cause to me once you get past like 110 its all pretty much the same but more because that section is infested with CHP.

Been many years since I've gone northward of 100, but:
Driven: 117 - '96 Chrysler LHS 102 - '87 Ford Escort GL (86hp) on a long downhill stretch of road in western NJ, 30 seconds before black ice caused my first wreck on the offramp. The saddest part was when the collision stalled the engine and stopped "Nights of Fire" midtrack ![]() Ridden: ~150 - '04 Golf R32 Scariest had to be ~110 in the back seat of an '99 F150 on an incredibly narrow stretch of road in the middle of corn field hell in (also western NJ) |

fastest ever was 180 mph in a highly modified RS2 (going uphill!)
but i go over 125 mph on a daily basis, because AUTOBAHN ![]() But i have to say the GT86 is just more fun around some corners

my god theres a lot of bs in this thread.
On the internet, my car goes 380mph and does the 1/4 mile in 4.6seconds on street tires.
