I like my models as dirty little things!
Tarped and prop in place. Canopy and gunsight all that are left. Will get a final dirt and mud treatment when I do the base up. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just to nitpick - the prop blades are bent more sideways in the photo but yours are bent more backwards (and the one that is sideways is bent the wrong way). Looks like the prop rotated counter-clockwise when viewed from the cockpit, with the blades bending to the left.
Edit: they're also aren't pitched at the same angle of attack. Not final posing? Last edited by Ohio Enthusiast; 05-03-2021 at 10:49 PM. |

![]() You are however correct that the one on the left is bent backwards from where it should be. I didn't catch that until I had put it on. When I tried to fix it I was pushing the limit on how many times you can bend plastic and almost broke it so just decided to leave it alone. The angle of attack is set by how the blades mount in the hubs so I had no control over that.

Not really. I can hide a lot of errors with the kit or my assembly with a dirty wash and some paint chips. You don't have that luxury with the gloss finish.

Still haven't cleaned the Crown Athlete, but decided to bust this one out to look over and start.
Not very pleased with it, especially since it was a re release I had pre ordered for several months before it was released. Panel lines are extremely shallow. That's fixable. However, the Vertex rear bumper/lip goes over the molded OEM rear bumper. Problem is, there are molded in mud guards on it, so when you put the Vertex bumper over, there are very large gaps due to the mud guards and the curvature of the OEM bumper vs the straight line Vertex bumper. I'll have to use some Tamiya putty to fill in the those gaps. I can't even cut out the OEM rear bumper as the chassis mounting points are on it, and the Vertex bumper doesn't have anything. My excitement for this kit has really dropped unfortunately. |

I was only discouraged because I was super hyped about it. Dunno why, but I've always really liked the JZX100 Chasers, so that didn't help with over hyping the kit. |

mould Share
Mould is the British spelling for "mold" — the stuff you find growing on old bread or the container you use to create your jello masterpieces. Living mould is like “mildew,” it’s a type of fungus that grows on damp or decaying matter. Mould can also mean a “caste” used to shape a hardening liquid. In this sense mould can refer to both the container and the end product that comes out of the mould. In addition, mould is used as a verb to describe the process of making a mould. When you pour plaster into a mould to make a shape, you mould that shape.
