The brakes worked really well and the DS2500 pads I'm trying were perfect for the Ring, and the many hundred of road miles to get there. Only a few squeaks and dependable all day on track.

Anyone know if Carbotech makes pads for these AP kits? I'd prefer a compound that doesn't eat paint or rust out the car.

Yes they do. @CounterSpace Garage on here even sells them for the Essex kit.

Depends on the pad you use, and how well you can bed them.

XP12 were a nightmare to actually properly bed to get them silent, but it's *possible*. I'm not saying it's easy... the brakes are almost TOO good at dissipating heat.

If you're comparing to the DS2500, I'd recommend you start with a AX6 for Carbotech; we used XP12 on our car (overkill, but that's okay )

Have you run XP10? Interested in any relative comparisons you could offer.

Bumping this since there's a ton of info in this thread that can be referenced with CSG's long term update.

I really need to track the BRZed again but everything is sold out for the rest of the year at Sebring at least.

Hey Guys...I haven't been around much, but I thought this was cool and wanted to share...Our brakes can help you fly!

We just had a rally customer (Chris Martin) win a national event in Canada with our Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Big Brake Kit (Rally of the Tall Pines). He has what is essentially the BRZ Endurance Kit on his car (CP8350 with the 325x32mm discs). Here's a quote from Chris's email to me, "So far we have run 3 rallies on the kit (2 regional length, and one full national), totaling around 400 competitive KM. The brake kit has performed flawlessly! We far and above exceeded our expectations and scored our first ever national podium, along with our first ever win!"

Now who said you couldn't use our big brake kits under harsh conditions!?!

You can see the AP Racing logo peeking out from behind the wheel in this shot

The DS2500 definitely squealed like crazy coming into the pits. On the track they were amazing.

Hi guys,

I started a couple of other threads related to the big brake kits being discussed in this thread, so I wanted to put some links up in this one for people researching them. Thanks!
