I'm not sure there is one yet? Essex has one for their Sprint and Endurance systems that they've created:
Sprint - http://www.essexparts.com/media/down...eltemplate.pdf
Endurance - http://www.essexparts.com/media/down...eltemplate.pdf

Dave-

Did you use new rotors or have these turned before you put on the XP10s? I know sebring is hard on brakes, but that is a little surprising. Could be because of the fluid you used. The blue fluid sucks.

Gotcha, I only asked because the formula kit is the only one they said would fit stock wheels.

No, it's preferred but I rarely do and have never had issues in the past 12 years of not doing so.

Sebring full is actually pretty easy on brakes, Sebring club course is HELL. We did 14 hours racing on Sebring Full and brakes lasted all around on the race car (not a BRZ/FRS obviously, but standard OEM honda brakes on an Integra with ST43 pads).

I am switching from ATE fluid, but this is the first time I've boiled it.

Yeah I need to figure out what size spacers will be required for OEM wheels over the Sprint setup. That may have been posted in this thread already.. I'm going to put extended studs in while I'm at it... speaking of that I need to call Titan in Orlando to order those.

This is your problem. The carbotechs aren't like the porterfields. They are ceramic, and if you don't use new rotors or turn the ones you have, they won't transfer any material to the rotors. I have swapped other pads back and forth, but you can't go from a standard pad to a ceramic. The transfer process and bedding process for the carbotechs is really important.

http://www.ctbrakes.com/faqs.asp#bedding2

They'll be different brakes if you turn your rotors and bed them properly - I promise. I made the same mistake you did once long time ago, and I thought the pads were awful. do a couple searches or call a carbotech dealer for a more technical answer.

best,
Matt

I use the bullet style on my track S4 however their are standard studs available. Ships out same day.

I actually don't think the pads are awful at all. They worked great. I more suspect overheating, certainly boiled fluid obviously. Rotors look like they got mighty hot too.

I've run CT pads before, never turned/replaced rotors and never had an issue with them, but also never showed signs over overheated brakes on the other cars either. I love Carbotech and have had them sponsor ITR Expo before, great bunch of guys and pads.

You are correct in suggesting what you are suggesting, not denying that.

How are they compared to ARP? I've used ARPs for years without issues so I currently plan on just going that route.

Is there a link with more info on the formula kit? I went through the thread but only saw the sprint and endurance.

I coudn't agree more with Matt. I have Matt's old Carbotech pads and his rotors, I have tracked them the last two weekends (Fontana and Buttonwillow) and it reminded me why Carbotech's are my favorite track pads.
