As for the BBK prices, I don't expect that our prices will ever come down. They are already priced very aggressively. I just want to be completely transparent about that issue. If anyone is sitting on the fence waiting for that to happen, you'll be waiting a long time. There will certainly be other cheaper systems introduced by competitors in the years to come, but they will not be anything like what is under discussion in this thread. Again, I just want to be completely clear on that.

Cool. I will call today. This ds2500 is a great stop gap while I save my coin for your system, which indeed has most of my BBK attention...

I'll let you know how mine work out on the street without dust boots, but I'm not worried about it. Driving a friends Boss 302 LS around with 302R brakes (no dust boots), about 3k miles on them (street and track) and they are still fine also.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW !
Installed this kit today and it is VERY impressive. After bedding the pads properly I was ready to hit my favorite OEM brake fading back road, when the wife called and said she wanted to go to the movies and meet her there ! URRRGGGGG ! So I had to sit thru ARGO( good movie) then kiss the wife bye and head to my fav back road, but now it was night-time and man you had BET-TER have some good brakes as you remember your brake points on a back road. Without making this a full review( which is coming for sure) the brakes exceed all expectations. I have road raced on most brands out there in SCCA, IMSA spec series, NASA, and Porsche Club racing and this combo on this car is simply amazing. The platform is also VERY ready for this kit too with most area's of the car having been upgraded already. :happy0180: Jeff Ritter/ Essex Parts you are my hero ! Bringing this kind of love to the BRZ/ FRS community is awesome man ! From the beginning your enthusiasm was off the charts. Some manufactures back in April/ May just didnt seem like they gave a blank about this car but I could hear it in your voice when we spoke. Impressive kit. This starts the next stage of my build..... So yesterday was fun at Sebring.. my front brakes.. yeah they are hating life.
All day by around 20-25 minutes into the session I'd start getting pad fade, no big deal since the OEM front brakes are going soon anyways. Well from 4-5 they do happy hour, which is open to all groups so I went out for about 40-45 minutes of that session. Brakes felt great (well as great as they did before anyways) and afterwards I went for a 15 minute cooldown run around the paddock (technically the rig/trailer parking area at Sebring). After that I went back to the normal paddock and hit the brakes at a stop sign. Pedal went to the floor. DOH! Pumped them 3 or 4 times and they came back.. and then immediately faded again.. ugh. Parked and checked for leaks, no leaks but the drivers side brakes were still smoking pretty badly. Drove it around for another 15 minutes or so and the pedal was firm again (more or less) and kept pressure. So I can't wait to get some new front brakes in Current setup is Carbotech XP10 pads, ATE super blue, OEM rotors and calipers. New setup is the Essex Sprint kit.My driving at this event (not that great) is partly to blame. I was braking too much after losing confidence with the pad fade earlier which just makes it worse. Also I need to switch how I heel toe, I'm used to my race car which has a much larger spread so occasionally I was on the gas and brake. Oops. Pic of the drivers side rotor/pad/caliper (sorta) this morning:

I actually only noticed that in the pic. I haven't gone out to check. Hopefully just pad or I'll have to replace the rotors instead of returning my spares..

Just went out and checked, they aren't holes... they are dull gray areas instead of shiny metal. I'd replace the rotors if I had any intention of using them for awile but I'd rather get the 120-130 or whatever the spares cost from NAPA back
