This is why I'm happy to refine with some nice OEM+ parts here and there rather than major wholesale changes.

I decided when I bought it that I'd drive it for 12 months before I did any major engine work or suspension and it's a really nice package out of the box.

After watching through the rear window in horror as someone repeatedly slammed my trunk shut by the wing, I decided to fit the Perrin trunk handle that was sitting in my garage. Literally a 3 minute job.

Pop off the carpet liner and enlarge one hole to fit a rivet.

Reassemble with the handle instead of one of the plastic pop screws.

I couldn't find anything more OEM than this but it does still fit the grey/black/red theme I seem to have going.

Finished product. At least it's obvious and not neon yellow or something.

I've hit the 5000km mark (3000 miles) so I thought it was time to change the oil and do a drop in air filter.

I decided to use the OEM oil filter and genuine oil but Toyota don't sell retail quantities of engine oil here and Subaru supplied this bottle of Castrol Edge 0w20.

When I asked why they didn't sell the old Subaru oil anymore, they said they only ever used Castrol Edge 0w20 in the FA20s here and they have replaced the old Subaru bottles with these ones.

Time for some OEM mudguards.
Apparently they are made in Canada?!

Continuing the theme of little OEM+ touches.
Tidied up the door hinges with some Subaru bolt covers and Toyota hinge covers.

I read on Minkara that the hinge covers needed double sided tape but they just snapped in perfectly.

If so... I would love to see if anyone has part numbers for that... going from the track with the back seats up and down I get unnecessary dirt and worrying about ripping the cloth from my tools on the back of the back seat.

They were posted a page or two back. It is an OE part. Though I'm sure he will hook you up with the part number if he still has it.
