Power gains from lightened engine parts are dubious due to the nature of a vehicle's use. It has to do with Newton's first law
"Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it."
So, for example you could have a 20hp gain while in first gear, going down a hill, but a 0.1hp gain while going uphill in 6th gear. It depends entirely on the angular acceleration of the rotating assembly which can be affected very easily by external forces on the vehicle.

Guys: Let's be clear, any reference to Vivid's previous business transactions and the problems they've experienced will be removed.

Let's stay on topic. We are giving them enough rope, whether or not they hang themselves with it will be determined by their future posts/evidence.

I'm just confused why all of this was posted again... it appears to be the exact same info that is in the exhaust thread....

which makes it seem like they are just trying to post their name as many times as possible in the forum.

that's not goign to happen. They have not been proven to be lying, so there is no grounds. We will have this sorted once an independent dyno can be done with their products

Yeah no lies, just a lack of information, communication and some honest mistakes.

I'm not the type to judge before the facts have been shown, but I can tell you for sure that there is no way to prove whether their business practices are honest or not, based on the info. we have provided so far.

Well, lets see, right off the bat there was the claim that all of these gains were strictly from the exhaust, nothing else. There was no mention of a lightened flywheel or crank pulley.

Then there is the fact that instead of answering simple questions vivid starts trying to deflect the focus by playing the victim, but still avoiding up front answers.

It just looks like some general shadyness, and a lack of transparency. I for one am done with vivid and will no be buying one of these parts.

Not to worry all, someone has already purchased the AP exhaust system, (crank pulley from someone else) and has agreed to post independent results, which should give a general assessment of their performance claims. Perhaps we should all chill untill we hear back from "whiteout".

I never said it didn't look shady, but I still base my opinions off facts, not assumptions

We're not allowed to talk about that. They've been given a "fresh start".
