Oh okay gotcha, that’s makes sense.

A) I am pretty sure the PO removed the assist spring and lowered the pedal.

B) Do these in the following order:
1. Lift up and push to floor very slowly. Does clutch fully disengage? Can you get it in and out of gear?

2. Leave it pushed to the floor. Does it gradually bleed down so you can no longer get in and out of gear? Just keep shifting in and out.

3. Lift up and push all the way quickly. Does it make a difference?

Humor me here. I want to make sure we are exactly on the same page.

Thanks for the replies man. Much appreciated.

I will test these as soon a so get to my car (currently at the gym).

Just to clarify when you say lift up are you meaning to raise the clutch up with my foot from underneath? Or just simply letting go of the clutch?

You had to lift all the way from the floor. I know that because I know you still have your assist spring.

Humor me here. I want to make sure we are exactly on the same page.
1. Clutch fully disengages and goes into gear fine.

2. Clutch stayed pressed to floor and could shut tinto all gears fine.

3. Lifting up and pushing quickly made no difference.

Also how can I check to see if the PO removed the spring and lowered the pedal?

Thanks.

Thanks. Ok, next. How long does it take to sag on the next press?

Oh, and you have to get onto your back and look up for the spring or its absence.

Factory adjustment of the pedal is an inch or more above the brake pedal. It can be lowered to about even with the brake pedal.

Seriously, if you had it to do all over again, would you have replaced the TOB as a preemptive, preventative maintenance measure .. ??

If so, what would be the indicator and/or at how many miles ......??

No. I had to pop it up about half an inch at the end of travel. Because the bloody TOB was catching on the shaft.

I honestly have no clue how long it takes to sag because it has only done this a handful of times, when I am driving it works fine at stop signs red lights etc. it has worked good all day after the first issue this morning.

Now at any point when I let go of the clutch I can take my foot and pull
Up and it will come up about an inch maybe after every time I press the clutch down and let go. I don’t know if normally you are supposed to be able to pull the clutch up at all. Also there is a slight noise down at the pedal when I pull up almost like it clicks into its final position.

Edit: it’s actually not an inch I just looked it’s more like half an inch.
