Whether we all do it or not doesn't mean anything. Over is over and should they decide to ticket for it for whatever reason doesn't make it BS. Ya it sucks that that person got picked but they did. We also only heard one side of the story here so maybe they were indeed doing all those things that you stated.

Like tcoat said, it doesn't matter. Lots of us pirate movies, tv and music. Does that make it ok to do?

It doesn't, but when it comes to these minor, relatively insignificant infractions (streaming "illegally" online, going 20 over the limit) law enforcement mostly look the other way. It's wrong on paper, but in day to day life there's a different, unspoken set of rules. So when a person follows their daily normal - just like almost everyone else - and all of a sudden his/her behaviour results in a ticket, you have to wonder what happened there. And the most likely truth is that the cop had to fill his quota, to satisfy a number on a piece of paper, and as a result wasted a bunch of people's time. If he bothered to show up, okay. But by not showing up, he only reinforced that point of view. That's how I see it anyway. I am very cynical and tired of the world lol

Reading this thread was my first foray into off topic, and I've got to say this was pure gold class-A drama all the way through. Loving it

Thought I would revive one of my favorite threads to ask this question.

https://www.stealthveil.com/faq

I came across this stuff and I was curious if anyone has tried it. It says it also protects headlights from UV damage which is another plus.

It is a polymer coating that you apply to headlights/fog lights and license plates which adsorbs IF and UV light. Which would as they claim give you time to slow down before the laser detector reads your speed. Plus protects your headlights from UV damage which anyone who parks in the sun will be more than familiar with.

Mythbusters tried all the different coatings and other methods. Nothing worked.

I still stand by getting a good radar detector. I upgraded now to a Uniden R3 from my Escort 8500 and can see them smokies from so far out, it makes me laugh at how useless a radar gun is on me now.
Only fix for getting hit with a laser is to get a laser jammer which are pretty pricey. Now going on 13+ year with no tickets with a good detector in my window.
