Vs: every other car is a family car with sport suspension and a turbo. Aka, wrx, bmw, audi.

Tcoat had to snap me out of it on the WRX. While it is a wonderful car, it is a car and not a sleek sports car.
I 100% agree with this statement. This is what brought me back to the BRZ.

I actually bought a 2016 WRX (non STI) and sold it shortly. It's as you put it, not a sports car experience. There is something to be said about a low slung sports vehicle, whether driving it or even looking at it. Even casual people will look at the BRZ and notice it's sporty and complement how cool it is. The experience is very different. You feel like you're wearing the car rather than riding in it. I only got this feel from sporty cars and never from "sport" sedans.

My Brembos bring all the boys to the yard,
And they're like,
Its better than yours,
Damn right its better than yours

The Sachs struts are pretty sweet too. Very smooth ride and they take the hits.

As far as Tires, yes, they fit in the car fine, a full set. It is built to bring tires and wheels to a track, so that is a given for the thing. I am at the edge now of buying my tires. It is breaking into November and the heat wave in NY City should be passing quickly.
Yeah I started another thread about this and quickly learned how expensive Brembos are as I expected to begin with. Brembo will not sell their name brand for low cost.

For my driving style, I actually even prefer to use engine braking a lot, just to hear it sing. So, I'm even less than normal when it comes to brake use.

This is also possible with Winter is no problem if you drive like you are driving in winter. Now go get your BRZ

Thank you for the answer

Just a few more things to check up on before pulling the trigger but so far it's BRZ. It's just that I've been burned on a previous car purchase and learned to be very deliberate and calculative and slow.

Funny thing about gathering numbers and looking at the grand scheme of things... In adding up total annual expenses, the cost of ownership of a BRZ (including depreciation, insurance, gas, oil, tires..) is still typically less than what one spends on food (in my case around 20$/day average). Buying a beater is not that much money saving and it can be a crapshoot on reliability and repairs. What's really at play financially, is that you will be freezing say about 20k US in a new car purchase.

Anyway, sorry for the rant back to work

I waited for others to comment on these things.

1. Tires inside car. I've done it recently, as I just got new tires delivered to home and had to take them to a tire shop for mounting. I did get all four tires inside car, and it's not easy, by any means. I don't know if I could do it with tires on wheels. As an op stated, two tires on top of folded rear seat, only one tire will fit in trunk. Fourth tire must go on top of the two tires on folded seat, partially angled. A tarp or blanket should be placed inside rear of car first, so as to not damage interior. Overall I was quite surprised to find just how difficult this task is. A real pia to accomplish without damaging interior of car.

2. If I were to buy a new BRZ, I'd go with the base model. Personally I don't want auto climate controls, keyless starting. Don't need some of the other bs items which come with the limited model. To get the performance package one must first pay for the limited model. That's $3345. total over the base model. A waste of funds in my mind...unless a person is gonna track the car.

3. For winter driving this car needs four snow tires. And since it's so expensive now to have tires mounted and balanced, really makes sense to have a second set of wheels, possibly inexpensive steel wheels with snow tires mounted and balanced on them. Possibly there are facilities in your area which store tires on wheels for those who have no place for them at home.
I have not read it from others in forums, but if it were me, four studded snow tires. Lots of noise and poor handling, but oh the fun if might be overall. Might possibly make donuts in the snow more difficult ??

From what I've recently read, this is the best NEW studded snow tire:https://www.consumersearch.com/snow-...akkapeliitta-9

Best non studded: https://www.consumersearch.com/snow-...itta-r2-review

Only wheels I'll be getting are the stealy wheelies for winter tires. Other than that, I don't change wheels on any of my cars. Honestly I never mod anything on any of my cars. I might go for a sports exhaust but really everything else is meh for me personally.

Yes, already reading obsessively about unequal length headers and I haven't even received the car yet!
