24k miles on the rotors. 6 track weekends so 40+ 20-minute sessions

So my personal preference is to use a dedicated set of track pads and rotors, and dedicated set of street pads and rotors. It's easy to swap on these cars, and keeps compound transfer nice without lots of extra bedding. This method has a TON of benefits if you're willing to swap the pads and rotors before you go out each time.

like what?

idk I've never bothered to swap rotors and I've had 3 different pads on my car, it'll be 4x if the rotors last long enough and I burn through my current DD pads and put autox pads on, I know many shops/amateur racers don't bother either like CSG. 63k miles and counting so I'm not losing a huge amount of life by tracking XP10's, but I don't burn through a set of pads in 4x track days like the fast drivers do.

As others have stated, those rotors are fine, though it's always worth checking thickness when you have access. The discard thickness for those rotors is 22mm. Cracks will be visible on the inner and/or outer diameters of the rotors and will appear dark.

Some of the big ones are retaining transfer material, meaning you don't have to go out and get your brakes hella toasty to get a good quality transfer, which eats up a lot of pad life, (if the rotors come off at the end of the day and go on a shelf ready for next time, the transfer stays on and saves bedding in, which saves pad life, dust/cleaning, bed in time which is also crucial when you get home late on Friday so your Saturday is clear for tracking, and you're trying to just get the MFING brakes on so you can go to bed lol.

Most important imo, is you have dedicated sets where if you totally smoke something, if a caliper locks up and ruins a pad/rotor, you can get your car AAA'd home, swap your stock stuff back on, and not freak out about how you're going to get to work Monday morning.

I think these are the sort of advantages that are beneficial for the good driver who can really work brakes, but isn't at the track every weekend. If you're there all the time, it makes sense to just run one setup all the time.

Also, they aren't necessarily advantages for everyone. For me one of the biggest advantages is knowing if something goes wrong and you total smoke the brakes, you can still get to work on Monday and not worry.

I'm also the guy who has winter tires, all season tires, and autox tires for my Forester XT so I have a seasonal transition tire.

Over prepared as heck, but it does have it's benefits.
