Yeah. I'd say on really bad quality roads it's noticeable, but I mean they're noisy/bad quality roads to begin with anyway so that's to be expected.

Oh ya and there is this subframe rubber ring shape bushing that subaru japan sells .....that was in the US dealer manual but is never in our car.

get one from japanpart, that thing makes ride more quiet and i think they probably just slap those on the new car, just additional isolation between the subframe and chassis.

I Put Michelin 18" PSS on and much quieter.

I'm running Michelins Pilot SS in 18" Enkie's now on my 2017 Yellow
(Performance Package) and it's much quieter, Will next time go with the Michelin AS4..Heard they are even more quieter.

I had also read that the engine is supposed to be a little more smooth - less gravely in the mid range. So maybe that helps to contribute to the feeling of quiet...

True or no?

Possible. The larger and higher flow intake would make it seem less whiny as well. Could be just as loud but the change in tone could be perceived as quieter.

Keep in mind that earlier models didn't have the underpanels as well. I found my Series.Blue was quieter than the '13 model I drove.

Not that any of that matters now with the exhaust on the car...

I am incredibly sensitive (studded as well) to extraneous stimuli.

The BRZ 205hp version has very smooth sounding exhaust when cruising. It is low toned. The car is so awesome.

Can you post a link to the bushing?
