Didn't they do that at NYIAS? Or do you mean reconfirm it again on top of that?

It was stated in the press release at NYIAS that the FR-S Concept came with a LSD. It didn't state anything about a production model.

However, the Toyota EU press-release is almost word-for-word what was said at the NYIAS....so, that's good news.

Its like being on the verge of knowing for sure....you got this 95% feeling it will come with certain things, but honestly, you just need a confirmation on the production model Scion to close any doubt.

That sounds like a Jerry Garcia campaign!

Goog job Toyota for keeping your fans informed but whats up with Subaru?! A clear plexiglass model is all we get!?!

The 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine is the result of a joint development between Subaru and Toyota

Toyota~~ Why can't you just put the FT-86 as a Toyota~~~

Actually.. Just put the GSport as a toyota with a turbo I'll be happy with that. Haha

And remember folkes, the release for EU isn't necessarily the exact release time for the US. We get new stuff later now...

It's good to see them maintaining the line on globalized parts. It'd be all to easy just to throw different engines/transmissions etc for each market to cut costs to the bone. And yes this is just a confirmation that the EU will get the same stuff as NA and Japan.

Hmm...
Finally they confirmed it. At no point would it have made sense to hack apart the Impreza platform; the only thing they might've had left is the rear diff and axles. This car shares no hard points, no wiring, and likely few to zero modules.

If you misread that, it almost sounds like they say "an entirely new front-engine".
