PB blaster and endlinks

My front endlinks are seized and I need to adjust my front bar, is the rubber on the endlinks going to break down if on blaster gets on them? I'm trying to decide if I just need a used set of stock endlinks too.

No, the rubber should be fine. I have used pd blaster on endlinks before along with many other places with plastic or rubber around. But make sure to lube the balls socket joint in the endlink, as pd blaster will thin the grease out if its seeps to it and the joint may seize eventually (I learnt the hard way)

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. I might just grab a used set of endlinks for cheap to have in reserve

Good luck, my car was from up north so almost every nut and bolt under the car was rusted and seized, I ended cutting the end links in half in order to remove the suspension and bought Whiteline adjustable ones instead.

Another option you can try instead of PB blaster that I have had really good luck with on seized stuff is kroil.

There is no "rubber" in the rubber parts of these cars. They are PCV/silicone compounds. Would take something way stronger than PB to eat them up.

Thankfully my car just saw lots of SC humidity and water, not so much salt. I think (read: hope) that if I use penetrating oil and a breaker bar I'll be able to get them loose

Grab the back of the socket with vice grips. Worked much better for me than trying to use the stupid allen keys.

One thing I usually do when trying to remove stuff where a bunch of threads are showing is to take a wire brush/wheel and really clean up the exposed threads so that when the nut does break loose you're not trying to overcome the extra friction that rust particles provide in the threads.
Also, spray the PB Blaster the night before working on the car and again a few hours before working on it.
A lot of people spray it and wait 5 minutes which may not be enough.

Front end links are like $40 each Canadian, I wouldn't bother messing with used ones for that price. I'd bet they're about $25 US each.

If a friend of mine that I trust has a set with very few miles I'd still take them over mine. It'd be hard to be worse so anything would be an improvement. No reason to bother spending $50 on things worth $15
