Well ok. Most people stopped having problems when they added a radial bearing.
Also solvable with square threads, but obv. all of the one-piece setups use tapered threads. |

Also, not directed at you particularly, but have people not heard of anerobic thread-locker or even the ones that don't harden or the ones that are like fingernail polish? Personally, I like running the thrust bearings. My MCS have them and are easily adaptable to any coilover. I've never had anything loosen on me. |

Coilover bodies with square threads usually just run a single collar instead of double locking collars, sometimes with a set screw or a pinch bolt. Like ground control sleeves. Once you have weight on the spring they never loosen up in my experience, even without the set screw or pinch bolt tightened up.
The tapered threaded bodies tend to run locking collars, and, especially without the inclusion of a radial bearing, can loosen up the spring perch. Also just to note: you're digging up posts from 5 years ago. |

Everybody makes mistakes, after I installed my coilovers in my buddy's driveway at 2 AM the next day I realized the weight of the car was the only thing holding in the upper strut flange bolt and that the nut was completely missing. Quick fix but could have been real bad. Always check and recheck!
