The TR Motorsports (with an offset of 45) are really attractive due to their price, but I would rather not run new lug bolts and spacers if it can be avoided. And while design of the wheel is not the highest priority, the design of these is not driving me wild.

Thanks for your thoughts.
For what it is worth, a local autocrosser connected with Konig american division president and expressed our concern for the lack of wheels. He gave him my info, I got an email earlier this week and am currently waiting for him to get back to me based on my response. It would be nice if they can make some options for us that are not Ultraform ugly.

Ampliform should meet our weight requirement and there is currently a run in production with delivery date scheduled to start 2nd week of Feb.

Would the Apex Arc-8 work?

17x9 ET42 Hubcentric for the 86 platform. 17.8 lbs. and track tested. GB pricing can get you even more savings.

Love that wheel and have a set for my track car. Unfortunately, we are limited to 17x8.

Yeah. It's been mentioned that Konig is ramping up to make some wheels for the class.

Personally, i'm just going to go with some Enkei T6S's from TR (21lbs) when the tires are announced, so I can have them delivered mounted already. I'm not going to get wrapped up in being a few lbs per wheel over because the difference in weight is going to be lost in the wash on course and vehicle differences themselves.

I also noticed that the previous owner put some extra holes in the center console when it appears they tried installing the arm rest, so I ordered a new one as to not be blamed for shaving weight. (Was also missing a cover for the child seat brackets)

Don't think a 4 lbs difference per wheel will be lost on course... That's a lot of unsprung weight, considering there won't be much difference among the top cars. Not to mention the power lost rotating extra 8 lbs when power was nowhere to be found to begin with.

But if you think you can make it up, I fully support the boldness, sir.

Over the years, I've come to believe if you're within ~100-200lbs of everyone else, the difference is all in the wash of your driving. I'm already at a deficit to many... being 230lbs. I'm not the lightest of the bunch already, so what's another few lbs? Again, not going to stress weight when I'm already heavier.

Not bold, just realistic!

For those of you who aren't on facebook, I designed an emblem/badge for our class. (Credit goes to Tony for the Snowflake acronym)

I ordered a small batch of 3" x 3" vinyl decals and will be sending them out in the next few days.
If you want some please fill this form: https://goo.gl/forms/TmXv3bKeZVkyxJoV2

$3 for 2 stickers including shipping
$1 per additional sticker

Please keep in mind I am in Canada and that I am not doing this for a profit.

Sorry I'm not up on this and had to do the googles. So snowflake means..

"A term used to describe extremist liberals that get offended by every statement and/or belief that doesn't exactly match their own. These individuals think they are just as "unique" as snowflakes, when really their feelings are just as fragile."

Yeah, not sure I would put that on my car, or be associated with that, joke or no joke...

In that context we are going with the regular dictionary definition

Quote:
Noun
special snowflake syndrome (uncountable)

(derogatory) The conviction that one (or often, one's child) is, in some way, special and should therefore be treated differently from others.

I disagree with, and am offended by your characterization of snowflakes.

Some aren't knowledgeable of the "snowflake" as it pertains how this decal came about. (On the SCC (or was it SCCA?) Facebook group).

There are many that think this class shouldn't exist, and started asking why, how, and the labeling the participants - names of various types. Snowflake kinda stuck.

So, in jest, joking, fun, this decal came about. Kind of a middle finger back at them.

I already ordered the day they were announced.
