Based on the new fastrack, looks like all twins in DS will be in SSC very soon...

Whilst a lot of that is a proposal for 2019, the 2017 Twins and CTR are effective to DS in 2018. Makes SSC for 2013-2016 Twins a no brainer.

The specs section has been updated and list a wheel weight of 16.66lbs for the 17x8 5x100 ET40

Sounds perfect. I'll duct tape some wheel weights in the center cap if I have to

Hmm center caps are not included in weight rules. Might be worth a letter for clarification.

 Minimum Weight, without spacer if used (lbs.): 17, including:
• Wheel weights
• TPMS sensor if installed
• Tire valve stem (type unrestricted)

Anyone actually weigh in a 949 wheel? best looking option imo and et40. FT Speedfactory lists them at 16.6

That would be my top pick too but they are listed as 16.1 lbs on 949 website.

Look like the Konig Ampliform will also come in our size but no communicated weight yet.

I have to say I am somewhat frustrated with the lack of et40 wheels that meet the criteria. Seems like someone should have done the research prior to making this rule. Konig Ultraform is plain ugly, but it may just be me, I hate flat faced spokes. I think if they update the rule to go down to 16lbs, a number of options would open without driving the cost up. Hypergram and Dekagram are so much better looking.

Studs + spacers are readily available, no different than maximizing performance in street class playing with +/-7mm offset from OE where some cars have a plethora of options and others are hosed.

If anything, +40 may hinder the performance of the class if that's what's limiting maximum camber.

It does suck that the minimum weight excludes some popular options like Enkei, 949, OZ, Wedsport, etc. unless you're comfortable taping a pound of weights to each wheel.

The amount of camber we are able to achieve at +40 is acceptable.

Wheel choices do suck at the moment if you're looking for a one stop shop for max class allowance. Specs were definitely skewed to give TRM's an advantage vs others. If 15 or 16lbs was chosen, would have become a spec wheel in the Enkei or 949 offerings.

The TR FF10s +40 will be available Feb '18 per site. Not the prettiest but low cost. Would be nice if they offered a black option.

Don't fight the stereotypes, embrace them...
