Is this true for all models? Didnt think my 2013 had a maintenance or oil life % light.

The FRS does not have one. We have to remember when it was done last and due again.

He is correct there is no light. So if you are having an oil light or any light come on then you have a much larger problem. I have a 17 and it dose not have light. So write down the time and mileage and follow your manual.

Good catch I didn't notice that the first guy that asked had a series 2 that won't have a service light!!!!!!!

You need the info center to have the service due light. The wife's 17 Impreza actually sends her an email. The damn car sends an email! Not the dealer the car.

i will be doing oil changes every 3750 miles as recommended by th owners manual for repeated short distance driving and driving in high traffic cities and areas. sure you could do the standard 7500 owners manual says too and some local toyota services suggest every 5000 like mine does but im still doing every 3750 to keep the engine in prime condition and longevity and overall reliability.

I do almost exactly 4k miles a year so I do mine once a year. For me, every 6 months works out to be 2k miles which would be just silly.
Several service advisers told me to follow that yearly schedule and I'd be fine with the warranty.

You better watch that car closely. It already is touching her butt every time she's in it and now emails! If it starts sending her flowers and writing love poems for her then step in and slash a tire to let it know who's the boss.

If you really want to keep it in prime condition for longevity and reliability especially if you high traffic city. Put in 0w30 full synthetic oil and an oil cooler. It is a must for longevity. The 0w20 is an eco oil and used for good fuel mileage.
