So far the Stanton car is only entered at the Utah race.

Damn. The link was blocked at work so couldn't read the full thing. Still cool to have it compete in one race at least.

It's nice coming in as a one-off race as the only new twin. They're giving him rather favorable BOP. The Civic Si has been made purposely "just slightly noncompetitive" this season since (until this race) it's been the only one in the field. Shea is hopefully going to help that out this weekend since she switched to TCA in an Si. They'll have multiple data points and be forced to bring Tom up to speed (hopefully....)

The Mazda Miata Cup car and 86 Cup car seem to be very close time wise.

They are. And the civics are off pace because of BoP. Turbo cars tend to get the shaft all season, but the worst at Utah because of altitude.

Civic took pole. Must not be too off the pace.

Tom's car doesn't have the Si motor in it. Shea's does. Looking at data, he was 4-6mph faster on corner exit and 8-10mph slower by the end of the straights than her car. BoP is absolutely killing him this year.

Eric Powell with Tech Sport Racing. Have to say I'm beyond concerned that they blew 2 new motors this weekend before winning race 2 on the third engine.
