My apologies....

I learned in my Stinger thread I'm lacking the appropriate sense of superiority for non-86 owners and am deficient in my levels of contempt for other cars that as an owner of an 86 I should, from some of the responses, have.

How do I up my game to the level of enlightenment shown by some here? Is there a class? Is my 86 defective in that I am not immediately filled with a sense of smugness when I get it?

Perhaps a fart can and a massive wing. Could it be me? Do I not deserve an 86? It's one AM, I'm going to be up all night now worried I may not be enough of a smug douchebag to own one.

Stinger is auto only. That's all I needed to know. There are plenty of other great sports cars out there- the Stinger isn't a sports car.

I didn't read the OP that you are obviously referring to. You can be the douchebag you always wanted to be if you strive for that goal and work to be what you have always been deep inside.

GO FOR IT!

You don't require contempt for other cars or drivers. Just need a Zen-like approach to owning the Twin. Other cars will beat you from traffic lights, hurl abuse at you as the Twin is pig slow and generally buzz around the car like flies around a cow's arse wanting to race!

The other day, I was driving minding my own when I noticed a F Type creeping up to my car, hanging back checking out the car and then hammers the gas pedal to zoom past making a hell of a racket!! How rude! Expecting me to follow but he knew I'm in a slow car so what's the point of giving chase.. where's my Zen prayer book??

You posted a kia on an 86 forum and are upset that people said it was shitty and not a sports car?

I understand where you're coming from, but honestly the responses on that thread are typical of any car forum. At least here people are willing to engage in some sort of (sometimes sarcastic) discussion.

Maybe I'm not reading your sarcasm in your post, but you seem like you need thicker skin if you're complaining about people not agreeing with you on the Internet.

Watch Initial D more than 3x (all tv show, movies, spinoffs, etc.), once subbed, once dubbed, then subbed again so you can shit on the dub

Learn to drift on Forza/Gran Turismo

Watch dozens of hours of Japanese drifting videos on Youtube
Watch every Best Motoring video you can get your hands on, translation be damned

Buy an old Corolla and convince yourself it's the best damn thing on the road and nothing can beat it, but you have your FR-S/BRZ to keep miles off your "classic project car"

Go on midnight drives and tell your buddies about how you rocked the toe-gay last night, keep revs above 5k at all times, (don't worry, you don't have to actually drive fast)

Make friends with someone who owns a European sporty vehicle so you can shake your head at him when he bitches about maintenance and repair costs and be smug about how great your Japanese cars are

You posted on an FR-S/BRZ/86 forum- Did you honestly expect people to not defend the car?

If you're honestly hurt over the responses you need to get thicker skin before you log onto the internet again.

A lot of people on here are thin skinned and berate other's since they have no lives. It's a forum and like a lot of forums there are troll just like in life. I try to give advice on here and been PMd saying I'm stupid, ignorant, blah blah blah but they are 12 year olds with no hair between their legs. Or their adults with missing brain cells. So just ignore those and kill them with kindness and they will go away. Buy what you want.
