I'm pretty sure any body shop that does a major repair and doesn't make sure the car drives straight afterwards automatically becomes shitty.

The repair shop should have definitely checked that out, but they used a third party to align the car, so they should've checked as well before releasing the car back to the repair shop. I got the spec sheet before and after, and it definitely looked good, but clearly it wasn't.
Most of the problems i pointed out were fixed, i went back today to show them a couple more spots(window seal, mud guards, etc.) that i can see needs touch ups first to get that out of the way, i'll be test driving it later today to make a final verdict of completion. The only things that concern me now is the screech when i turn and the clunking noise in the back, which i'll find out later if it was fixed or not.

Not a big deal like cole said it's awesome to waste my free time hounding this guy and I think it's so cool to be making car payments on a car that's sitting in the shop while I have the privilege of driving a base model v6 charger :/
I know your feels. The insurance dude and repair shop are supposed to keep you updated, but that never happens. I had to harass these guys to get information and they wouldn't tell me much, very poor communication. The Charger, though V6, is great if you play with it. My friend rented one and we just drove around and sketched people out, flash your high beams and the road opens up lol.
I went back today, the guy who was working on mu car asked the secretary if my car was finally done. She responded with a blunt "no" and the guy released an exaggerated f bomb. As upset as i am, it feels great knowing my car will continue to be in their way and taking up their space until it's done.

Having the necessary coverage doesn't mean it always works out.
Finding a reputable or even recommended shop doesn't mean you will have a good experience.
Having it repaired doesn't mean he will be happy.
Being a minor inconvenience doesn't mean he shouldn't have the right to vent about it.

Feeling a different way than someone, doesn't mean they are wrong. A forum is a conglomeration.

So my response is don't buy a car then just walk everywhere and hope some guy doesn't hit you with his car and break your legs. Are you really going to sit here and say that you wouldn't be mad if someone hit your car right off the show room floor or in any other situations.

If you really are going to say that you are just a troll

No I wouldn't be mad. My car gets driven 4 days per month from March to December, and almost daily from December to march. I have another vehicle that's far more comfortable and practical that I can use if anything were to happen to my car.

In fact, I wouldn't even be mad if my car got written off, it would at least give me a reason to stop associating with this community, in which too many are zealous fanboys who get super upset when someone floats an unpopular opinion, or in my case, "lacks empathy" because I didn't want to get in on the group hug, and instead was realistic about the situation. Like fuck, dude wasn't hurt in the accident. Cars are easily replaceable, lives aren't.

I read the first page and just skipped to the last page to see if the argument was still happening. Impressive I must say.

I'm not sure how any of us aren't realistic about the situation, and it's pretty clear it's not the end of the world and that a car is just an object. None of that justifies that getting your car smashed is okay. In the end, things will resolve for the most part, just like a broken arm, it takes time to heal and you get something to help mask the pain, but it's just not okay, it cripples day to day activities and even when it doesn't matter, you still know that problem is there. I hope your car gets written off.

Me too. I'd sleep better knowing I don't drive the same car as a bunch of primadonnas.

Though it does fill me with joy knowing I have a clean title, with zero accidents and you don't.

I am kind of jealous. I was doing so well too, but mistakes are made, and it is paid for, which is great. This accident and one ticket is all i've ever had. This shouldn't have ever happened in the first place though if the driver had the common sense to look in his mirror while in reverse. Now i have to wait to enjoy my vehicle once again, and who knows if it will ever be 100% the same.

So sell your car then and no one is forcing you to be apart of the forum
