Been following you on IG. Awesome trip so far! I have a couple senic recommendations.

On your swing through Texas try and head down to Big Bend National Park. It is beautiful and very remote (and hot!). There is a great road through the park though that will allow you to "car hike" to most of the scenic spots. You could get some awesome photos near Santa Elana Canyon and the Rio Grande.

As you head north towards Oklahoma City stop at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and/or Ft Sill for some awesome photos. Also while you're there stop at Meer's restaurant. Its a delicious hole in the wall burger place with huge buffalo burgers and huge beers.

When you head to NC try and stop at the Wright Brother's first flight location on the Outer Banks. Chick's Beach area in Virginia Beach is great place to get some seafood.

For what its worth I currently live in Texas and I'm originally from the Va Beach area. Keep up the cool pics! Enjoy the rest of the trip!

Meers is great and so is the rest of the refuge. Take a picture at the top of Mt Scott. Maybe drive west to Roosevelt and see what has to be one of the biggest auto graveyards in the world. Visit Ft Sill and see Geronimo's grave and the cliff he jumped from. Oklahoma can be pretty interesting.
