I am not surprised of some employee being rude at a dealership here, it seems like a common practice.

I run the www.86cult.com, the Dubai & Middle East based Toyota 86 & Subaru BRZ community. I am in Dubai and we are paving the way for a Photoshoot for all the newly brought 86 & BRZ here..

The issue here is people are obsessed with straight line acceleration so the 86 wont do it for them, you know how they think here.. but I personally have no modding in mind either when it comes to buying the 86.

yeah man, i know what you mean. HP is everything for most of the people here.

when i told my friends i might be buying an 86 they asked me if it was fast or only looks sporty, i told them no it is not fast but that is not the point of the car, they looked at me in a confused way like i was talking in some other language.

haha would be fun to torture them though, by making them sit in the back seat.

I said a little something about the cars in Lebanon earlier but I thought I'd give you guys some more details.

Toyota sent 3 cars to Lebanon: 1 WhiteOut, 1 Silver (forgot the name), and 1 Raven.

Subaru still don't know when the cars are arriving and don't have any information on price.

I bought the Raven GT86, it comes with every option in mind except for seat warmers (we live in the Middle East, who cares :p). [Picture attached]

The car cost $36,000 BEFORE TAX and amounted to around $43,000 with tax and registration.

I heard the Silver is going to the son of the owner of the Toyota dealership and the WhiteOut was sold (but I haven't seen it anywhere).

I'd love to start a GT86/BRZ community in Lebanon and feel free to hit me up if you want any additional information that I can help you with.

The car has been nothing short of amazing so far.

wow i cant believe how rude Subaru employees are here in the dubai....

i called, someone picked up i asked him if the BRZ if available or if i can pre-order it he told me he doesnt know and give me another number to call. All good so far, he doesnt know so he asked me to call someone who does.

i called and some guy picked up and said, hello, yes ?

... i said "is this subaru ?" he said "yes", and that is it, not how can i help you or yes what do you want, nothing, just short answers. anyway i dont care about that so i asked him

"any information about the BRZ ?" he said no no we dont have it, it will come on november, his tone was very aggressive like he didnt like my question. i asked him if i can come to the showroom to see one if they have it or to give me more information about the prices or a catalog or something, he said we dont have ANYTHING RIGHT NOW... and then when i told him alright thank you, he hung up the phone without saying anything else....


subaru uae got to be the worst car dealership in the region.

yes you can import it, If you want the BRZ, there is only one that is coming this August, blue color, auto transmission, full option that i skipped last week cause its Auto, not sure if its still not booked, if you are interested let me know, i will ask them to take care of you

yeah, their account got suspended this morning.

probably because they NEVER update it and half of the contact forms on the website dont work.

subaru dubai is such a sad sad thing

subaru make wonderful machines like the WRX STI and well the BRZ but they are very rare here, ive been here for 6 years and i only saw 2 STIs and like 3 subarus imprezas hatchbacks.
