Not a requirement by any means but just an added nice thing to do if you care about that kinda stuff.

The risers are very very freshly painted, so please hold off on any wax for at least 30 days as the off-gassing can get trapped under the wax and prevent the clear coat from fully curing. It can also lead to other paint issues

I was going to mention this myself, but you posted that they'd been painted as of 1/17-1/18, so that's about 30 days. So it should be fine now.

Can you confirm when the CWP risers were painted?

I can’t be 100% certain on the painting of exact colors. The only information I have after I said that they were being painted was an email from my supplier on January 31st saying all of them have been finished painting.

Hate myself right now. Was so close to being done installing my risers, then pop! Bolt sheared off somehow, didn't feel like it was that tight or cross threaded or anything but there it went. Waiting to hear back from Subaru on parts, hopefully they sell just the piece I need separately but I might have to get a new spoiler.

Also, found a good tool for popping the inner core out of the riser. This little thing that came with a kit of trim tools was perfect, just stick it in the side and lever the inner core sideways, slides right out.

Noticed a bit of a flaw in the paint on the left riser - didn't see it until I had mounted the spoiler and opened the trunk to bolt it on so the riser was right in front of me at eye level

Well Subaru says I have to order a whole new spoiler, they don't sell the parts of it separately. $462 lol. Don't shear off your bolts guys.

Can you call a different dealer, or look up part numbers on https://subaruonlineparts.com/ ?

The way that Subaru likes to assign part numbers to literally everything, I can't imagine that the bolts wouldn't be available for purchase separately.

I looked online before contacting the dealer, it just showed spoiler assembly. Some of the little stuff like the gaskets or clips they list separately, but the spoiler isn't broken down at all.

It's not a bolt. It's a stud molded into the plastic.

Yeah, guess I didn't clarify this but it is a stud so the stock riser core would have to be replaced. It's all OEM parts concerned though, the Drambeenie parts are still fully intact and can be transferred over once I get the new part from Subaru. New spoiler comes unpainted so I'm just gonna rip the cores out of the risers on it (may as well replace both if I have to take it off again anyway) and keep my original wing.

A whole spoiler?? Maybe bring the piece to a body shop and ask them to weld the piece back on.

I'd rather not have any welding done. A new spoiler is an unexpected expense but I'd rather go that route than have the spoiler welded on.

Everything seems pretty solid right now though, drove a bit with it as is and the only rattle was from the broken stud/nut rolling around in there since I haven't been able to fish it out yet. I have a magnetic grabber thing but it can't fit through the opening so I'll have to figure something else out. I think I'm lucky it was the rear bolt so should see less force than the front bolt in general, the way its angled. Keeping it under 45 mph as a precaution (not a problem for me since I work close to home and can stay off freeway easily) but no problems driving with it so far. A bit loose when closing the trunk but otherwise good.

Oh I meant to weld the little piece that broke off back onto the riser.

But the VHB tape is really really strong so after it cures it should be solid but can’t really guarantee it’s security. I will say I recently removed my spoiler to test some parts, and removing the risers was almost impossible. The VHB was stuck on so well that the hinges of the trunk started pulling up lol but that had been stuck on for months. VHB tape is strong but def nice to have that last bolt attached for added security.
