even though the car has halogen projectors the cutoff will still be wrong with an HID bulb AND while brighter, the light is not as focused as an HID bulb with HID projector and there fore will likely cause much more glare for other drivers on the road. Some people have gotten the cutoff to be decent by bending down the tabs inside the headlight but then the beam is still not focused. Anyway, the thread you need to see concerning a proper HID install is this one. Properly installing HIDs in the FR-S is going to involve more than just changing bulbs and a ballast.

I mixed a very little bit of black with some clear coat, and then applied coat after coat until it was at the desired tint.
Well i have yet to decide what coilovers to get, but i wanted the car a little lower so for now i cut the springs. Let me just say this is a temporary fix!

Enough of the bickering already, start a new thread on halogen vs hid's already.
![]() With that said, I like the painted roof. Looks good - let's get this thread back ON TOPIC!

Ouch! seeing that roof sanded like that hurts... outcome is gorgeous though! I'd probably wrap mine in gloss black vinyl if I were to blackout my roof.

I like what you've done to your car so far, looks mad good! I'm about to wrap my roof in gloss vinyl because it's reversible haha.
Can you link me to the eBay bulbs you bought for your blinkers? And what paint did you use for the roof? Thanks |

I got the headlights locally, and the reverse lights i ordered from superbrightleds.com. Quote:
The blinkers are 92 smd's if i remember right. I will have to look for the link, and for the paint i used a jet black base coat clear coat. Quote:
I know man, when i did the first scuff i cringed just cause the car was so new! But it turned out amazing and im sure glad i painted it instead of vinyl because it is so glossy. Quote:
Thanks, it really added a good look to the car. I went up to the dealership and they wanted to look at it now they are talking about doing it to one of their cars. |
