So far so good. Issue still solved. Don't fuck with window tension. It definitely is the seal.

Quick suggestion...I have always used Turtle Wax Total Ice interior Care on the seals around my windows long before getting my BRZ. I have found that it allows the glass to move easier and quicker over the rubber seals. Have done it with the BRZ too and have no issues with the windows, even in sub-freezing temps:

would you be able to fix the problem by just adding adhesive to where the seal is getting pulled? or is it too late b/c the seal has already been deformed by getting pulled by the window too much?

Mine has not pulled out yet but I did notice that on the passange side the molding was not firm up into the roof of the car as it should be. I added clear caulk between the moldings to keep the one in contact with the window from pulling out.(there is a gap between the molding in contact with the window and the next piece of molding..I applied the caulk high up between the two so it can't be seen). I also applied the Ice Total Care as I mentioned above. Has been cold and no issue so far.

Mine just started doing this today. The past week it's been rainy and cold. By cold, I mean about 55*F. In San Diego, that's pretty cold.

Ive had this problem since about a week or so after I got mine (June 18th). It hasn't bothered me too much because the window still seals. If for some reason it starts leaking then I'll have a major concern lol.

I've noticed mine doing this for the last 6-7 weeks (only driver's side.) I thought it was temperature related but it's been 60 degrees the last two days and it's still happening just like when it was 30 degrees. It doesn't happen every time but more so than not.

I bought a product from The Chemical Guys for vinyl/rubber treating and that failed to do anything. The seals on both doors were extremely dirty which I'm sure wasn't helping anything. After cleaning them and applying two coats, it still happened.

Annoys the shit out of me, since I received the email from Subaru about the reflash, I might try to kill two birds with one stone.

It's still happening. I'm going to ask them to change tension back to stock and replace the seal.

Well just noticed this on mine. Something I did notice is when I close the driver door, the window sits under the seal then goes up. Unlike passenger side window sits halfway up the seal then completely closes. I think it has to do with how far down the driver window opens when opening the door. I'll have it checked at my first oil change.

I went to the dealer yesterday to get the Recall ECU Flash and had my window seal checked also. So, my dealer tells me that I have to remove my tints before they install the new seals cuz they say it adds a level of thickness. They want to install it properly and check without the tints. I just laughed and said I would not remove my tints.

P.S. They ordered a new Fuel Pump, new right tail light, and the window seal also. Hopefully, they install the window seal with the tints still on. lol
